Kitini: A School of Hope

With a generous grant from UK Foundation, Chora Chori was able to set up science laboratories in Kitini School in April of 2017, which kick started the operation of science faculty in the higher secondary education of the school. With Chora Chori’s continuous help to get required lab materials, curriculum developments and infrastructure development in the recent two years, Kitini School has been able to attract many students in the newly established science faculty, not only from Godavari municipality but also from the city’s central areas.

Roshni: Light in the Darkness

Roshni, aged 17, comes from Sunsari district of the terai belt of Nepal. She lived with her parents and a younger brother ( aged 11) in a small hurt consisting of two rooms, a bedroom and kitchen. In April of 2018, she became victim of rape by a 21 year old man from her own village during a big wedding ceremony happening in her village.
